The Intrepid Ball: Decor and Setup

At last! Ball pictures!
Preparing, decorating, and setting up for a ball may not sound like much fun...
But it is!
Tables, chairs, flower arrangements, candles, etc. With lots of smiles, laughter, and fellowship.
Convinced?
Isn't the decor lovely? I just adore it! Thanks Mrs. B!
And what would setup be without pictures?!
More on the theme later. Stay tuned!

Booklist: April 2012

April 2012
15. Elantris by Brandon Sanderson
16. The Mystery of Edwin Drood by Charles Dickens
17. Lectures on Calvinism by Abraham Kuyper
18. Legend by Marie Lu
19. The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman

Just FYI, Elantris may be the best stand alone fantasy novel that I have ever read. Sanderson's world has depth and intrigue. Legend was disappointing; The Hunger Games and Divergent were much more satisfying dystopian novels... And while Dr. Chapman's The Five Love Languages didn't always emphasize the importance of duty, it did have helpful insights into relationships. Happy reading, everyone!

Choreography?

We may not be Danny Kaye, but we do LOVE to dance.

Is it choreography?

Well, not in the White Christmas sense of the word.
But I'll let you decide for yourself. :O]

Dune: Photo Op

Hey all! Long time - no see. Between traveling, events, and "the plague" that visited my home, blogging hasn't been high on my list of priorities. It is my intention to update with some photos of the beach trip, the last dance practice, and the ball. In the meantime...
On the beach trip, the girlies and I discovered this delightful way. Dune Lane! And what did I happen to be reading but Dune
It was a great opportunity for some fun photos. :O)
Any diverting, coincidental places that y'all have taken book photos?

Reason and Horror

Warning: Not for sensitive viewers. Exercise Discretion.

Morality only has meaning if it is based upon the law of God. We don't believe in absolutes as such; we believe in the absolutes that God has established. Outside of Him, law has no meaning. In the area of ethics, atheists attempt to borrow from Christianity, but they are inconsistent in their worldview. "Cruel Logic" incarnates this truth.
